Where have I been and what I've done

Where have I been and what I've done
To please His will, to joy His heart
To be obedient to the Word of God
To prove to Him that I can be devoted?

The cross of Calvary reminds me
Of debt so greatly owed to Him
But could I pay of anything I earned
To satisfy His wrath for disobedience?

Redemption's price cannot be matched
And I would be a debtor;
But Christ the Lord, the Lamb of God
My debt paid off forever.

For God so loved the sinners here
To them He sent beloved One
And in that hour on Calvary's cross
He gave His life to rescue mine.
